Don McGovern appreciates working closely with the Therapist. Mr. McGovern has a positive
working relationship with therapists because of his background in Occupational Therapy. He recognizes that it is the therapist who spends the most time with the client outside of family or primary caretakers. The Therapist often has valuable insights important to each case. As a result, Mr. McGovern welcomes any contact with the therapist regarding a referral prior to meeting the client. When this is done: 1) He can gain valuable insight into his evaluation of the client, and thereby focus on specific concerns. 2) Important goals of the therapist and physcian are reinforced. 3) Continuation of care is improved which often raises client confidence and satisfaction with their health care team.
Once contact between therapist and Mr. McGovern is established, it will continue. He will contact the therapist post evaluation with any questions or concerns as we work together for optimal outcomes. The therapist can expect a follow up call or e-mail after the orthosis is fit and delivered to the client.
